  Anne Behnke

  Director of Admission

  Ms. Behnke was appointed as the Director of Admission at St. Mark’s in 2004 after spending 13 years as dean of admission at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild, California. She began her career in 1981 as an admission intern at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama; served as college counselor and taught psychology at a boarding school for girls in Grand Coteau, Louisiana; and spent seven years in college admissions.

  Steve Bristol

  Former Associate Head of School

  Mr. Bristol was Associate Head of School of The Hun School of Princeton for 13 years and in 2010 became the school's Director of Admission and Financial Aid. Having started out as an English teacher, Dorm Head and Soccer and Lacrosse Coach, Mr. Bristol went on to become a Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, a Director of Athletics, and an Assistant to the Heads of School for External Affairs. A product of the Independent school world, Mr. Bristol attended Westminster School in Simsbury, CT, and received his B.A. from Hamilton College and his M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania.

  JP Burlington

  JP Burlington is a 1995 graduate of Trinity-Pawling, and returned back to his alma mater in 2015 as the Director of Admissions for six years after an eleven year hiatus. JP did spend two years at T-P from 2002-2004 working in the admission office, as well as coaching soccer, squash and golf.

  During his six years at T-P as a student, JP immersed himself in all aspects of campus life: he was a three sport varsity athlete; he sang as a Trinitone; and served as a sacristan, dorm proctor, and Head Prefect during his senior year. As a freshman, he started giving campus tours for the admission office, an activity that literally set the course of his life. He continued to work in admissions when he was a student at Wheaton College (MA) and never stopped.

  Peter Curran
  

  Blair Academy
  Head of School

  Peter Curran became Blair Academy’s 17th Head of School in January 2021. After four years as dean of students at Fountain Valley School in Colorado, Peter joined Blair’s faculty in 2011 as a dean in the student life office and English teacher, Peter later became Dean of Admission. He soon rose to Assistant Head of School for Enrollment and Communications and, later, Associate Head of School.

  Earlier in his career, Peter taught and coached at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, and Seven Mile School in Arizona. In the mid-2000s, he served as dean of students at The American School in Switzerland (TASIS). Peter is co-founder of The Dean’s Roundtable, a nonprofit that promotes best practices among independent school deans of students and assistant heads, and a trustee at North Country School in Lake Placid, New York.

  Kila McCann

  Working with great families from the United States and around the globe to realize the possibility of attending a great boarding school has long been a passion for Kila. Kila was the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Fountain Valley School. For eight years, Kila was director of boarding and international students and head of house at Darlington School in Rome, Ga. Prior to her employment at Darlington School, Kila worked at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario, Canada as a recruitment/enrollment officer and at Fulford Academy in Brockville, Ontario, Canada as a placement officer and student counselor.

  Hamilton is an expert who has 30 years of experience in university application and boarding school application. Since 1986, Hamilton has worked in a variety of schools in varying capacities.

  Hamilton is a long-standing member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Overseas Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC). Hamilton is a member of The Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA). and an official Member of the Independent Education Consultants Association (IECA). This year, Hamilton became an associate member of The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).

  Lloyd Paradiso who is the Admissions Authority has been doing this work for over forty years. In presenting students of varying talents and academic strengths to a variety of institutions, he acquired valuable insight into what really counts in the decision-making process and ultimately, a student‘s success.

  Mr. Paradiso holds membership in the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the Pennsylvania Association (PACAC), the Southern Association (SACAC) and the International Association (International ACAC). A founder, past president, Committee Chair and Board member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), he holds the designation of Certified Educational Planner (CEP).
